Singapore: An Art Hub?

"A bigger question is whether the growth of Singapore’s art market is sustainable. Despite the large audience drawn by Art Stage, ArtSingapore, Singapore’s longest-running contemporary art fair, will go on hiatus this year. Shen Po Chen, its director, said in a statement that this was to allow the fair to “re-assess the market situation.” Similarly, some contend that the audience figures for the Singapore Biennale were inflated.
