Fayetteville Museum of Art's pictures to be sold at auction Thursday


"The liquidation of the collection, combined with the planned sale of the museum's property on Stamper Road, means any future art museum in Fayetteville will have to start from scratch.

'We're doing what we can to move forward with the predicament we have, and I think this is a good opportunity for these pictures to stay in Fayetteville,' said Mac Healy, president of the museum's board of trustees.
